This redesign of a standard deck of playing cards and packaging was a personal project exploring creative expression in conjunction with usability. During the process of conceptualizing the packaging design, it was important to me to keep usability at the top of mind. With this design, I created a pleather fabric envelope that will be durable and open fully flat. The Illustrations for the cards take recognizable elements that are often seen in traditional cards and bring them forward, making a more minimal design that could support the hand drawn illustration style.
